“Overall our stay was nice. But there needs to be some update and things that should be fixed. Our bed was horrible!! I noticed as we were leaving that some of the rooms have pillow top mattresses but our room did not. Those beds should be in every room. The floor in the elevator is coming up. The wooden counter top in the bathroom area is breaking apart. There was no screen on the window in the bathroom. Our room faced the ocean and yet we could not open the windows to hear the ocean. As a beach front property, the windows should open. There are nice big patio areas but no tables or chairs to seat to enjoy the area. It would be nice if there was a hot tub in the pool area since it is such a nice area.”

“This peaceful nostalgic place is just what I needed. A quick get away, close to home. If you ever need peace and quiet, but also need to feel close to everyday amenities, this hotel is perfect. The staff are very helpful and polite. My room gave a 1970's vibe, however it was VERY clean but historic. THE VIEW WAS ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!! I spoke to one of the staff members and they are working on remodeling. However I would suggest they don't lose that special niche that makes this place unique.”

“Quick and easy check in and out process. Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful view of the beach and sunset from room, patio, and indoor pool. The room had a great layout. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. Convenient location, shopping center is walking distance with plenty of food places as well as Safeway and a Ross.”

“This hotel was very deceiving from the pictures posted on the site. A big disappointment! It was dirty unkept and dated. We felt very uncomfortable and truthfully wanting to cancel our stay but unfortunately I didn’t pay the extra insurance. The room had window blinds broken slates, windows did not lock, mold visible in floor boards, water damage on walls, an actual shoe print where someone killed a bug which was still there. The furniture was pieced together and no thought on placement. Ex: desk with no lamp. No extra outlets. The outlet next to the door sparked! There was a jacuzzi tub in the room with drain next to the carpet. Gross!!! We would never use! There were electrical issues from the vanity light in the bathroom not working and the bedside alarm clock and lamp not working. The outlet was not accessible.There was a patio with no furniture to sit and enjoy view. Very small indoor pool with strong chlorine smell. No coffee maker. Be prepared to lower your expectations when staying here. I don’t recommend small children staying here since it’s dirty and a hazard. The overall condition was extremely poor.”

“Always a great stay here! The staff was friendly and made it a quick and easy check in and out process. Beautiful view of beach from balcony, best part of room was the hot tub, it was clean and ready for use. I love this hotel because it is quiet, peaceful, and private.”
